Spain Boosts Ukraine Aid with New Funding and Military Equipment Acquisition
Spain has announced an aid package for Ukraine worth 817 million euros and plans to buy U.S. military equipment worth 100 million euros under NATO's initiative. This announcement came during a news conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy in Madrid, which focused on strengthening Kyiv's air defense system.

Spain is set to mobilize an 817 million euro aid package for Ukraine, Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez announced. This funding aim is to enhance Ukraine's defense capabilities amidst ongoing tensions with Russia.
In addition to this, Spain plans to purchase 100 million euros worth of U.S. military equipment under the NATO's Prioritised Ukraine Requirements List (PURL) initiative. This acquisition is intended to contribute significantly to NATO's efforts to support Ukraine.
This announcement came during a press event with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy. The meeting, part of Zelenskiy's European tour, seeks to reinforce Kyiv's air defences as the conflict with Russia continues to escalate.
