Suvendu Adhikari, a prominent BJP leader and the Leader of Opposition in West Bengal, has launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, accusing her of being 'soft towards Islamist fundamentalists.' He warned that anti-national forces like Jamaat would have unchecked leeway if Banerjee continues in power.
Adhikari predicted that Banerjee's Trinamool Congress (TMC) would suffer a 'crushing defeat' in the upcoming 2026 Assembly elections, not only in Khejuri, Nandigram, and Purba Medinipur district but also in many constituencies across the state. He accused Banerjee of adopting a divisive agenda aimed at appeasing Muslims, allowing jihadi forces to expand across border districts.
Further slamming the TMC, Adhikari claimed the party has failed the state's youth. He cited controversies surrounding the recent WBSSC teacher recruitment test, suggesting corruption and incompetence. Labeling the TMC's administration as akin to a 'private limited company,' Adhikari called for change, urging citizens to vote for the BJP to ensure good governance and equal treatment for all communities.
