In a bold statement, Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav criticized the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Uttar Pradesh, claiming it's an 'NRC in disguise' meant to disenfranchise voters opposed to the BJP.
Speaking in Hyderabad at the Vision India - AI Summit, Yadav addressed concerns over voter roll deletions and urged the Election Commission to focus on enhancing voter participation. He argued that the current approach undermines democratic principles.
Yadav's visit to Hyderabad was also marked by discussions with Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, where both leaders exchanged insights on political and development strategies. Yadav emphasized the need for political discourse centered on vision rather than division.
