A massive protest erupted on Wednesday as the ruling Congress in Karnataka rallied against the central government's decision to replace the MGNREGA law. The demonstration, held at the Gandhi statue in front of Suvarna Vidhana Soudha, highlighted accusations of 'hate politics' against Congress leadership in the National Herald dilemma.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar were among the leaders spearheading the protest, joined by ministers, MLAs, and MLCs. Large and Medium Industries Minister M B Patil criticized the BJP for changing the program's name, which had previously thrived under the leadership of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and chaired by Sonia Gandhi during the UPA government.

Similarly, Congress plans to extend protests to various state regions, coupled with legislative challenges against the introduction of the Viksit Bharat Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission Bill in the Lok Sabha. The Stir intensified as a Delhi court dismissed money laundering charges linked to the National Herald case against Congress figures like Rahul and Sonia Gandhi.
