Senior BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi has launched a scathing attack on West Bengal's Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, accusing her of shielding criminals and predicting the end of her political career. This attack follows recent disturbances faced by the Enforcement Directorate during their raids in connection with a coal smuggling case in the state.
Naqvi alleged that Chief Minister Banerjee intervened during a raid, taking away key evidence. He remarked that the public has started playing the farewell tune for Banerjee's tenure. Furthermore, Naqvi insisted that despite these disruptions, it is crucial for political parties, constitutional bodies, and the Election Commission to ensure fair elections in West Bengal.
Discussing the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation elections, Naqvi criticized former dynastic leaders, blaming them for playing the blame game against the Election Commission and the voting system. He also addressed the situation of minorities in Bangladesh, expressing concerns about jihadist influences, while highlighting the Modi government's commitment to protecting minorities under the historical Pant-Mirza agreement.
