Air Chief Marshal Sir Harv Smyth praised a new initiative allowing the Indian Air Force (IAF) to train UK Royal Air Force (RAF) pilots. This move aims to bolster overall defense ties in response to emerging security challenges.
During his three-day visit to India, Smyth conducted comprehensive talks with his Indian counterpart, Air Chief Marshal A P Singh. Discussions included the ongoing West Asia crisis, evolving security threats, and ways to enhance cooperation between the two air forces.
This year, both countries signed an agreement deploying Indian flying instructors to the RAF Valley, strengthening operational procedures against new aerial threats. Smyth emphasized the enduring bonds and shared dedication to security, stability, and technological excellence.
