The floor test proceedings for the Tamil Nadu Assembly saw Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay of the TVK government seeking a confidence vote on Wednesday.
While Congress, CPI, CPI (M), VCK, and IUML extended their support, BJP chose a neutral stance. Meanwhile, the Anbumani Ramadoss-led PMK, possessing four MLAs, abstained from voting.
The ruling TVK, with a strength of 107, faced opposition from a faction of AIADMK aligned with Edappadi K Palaniswami, although other AIADMK members supported the government, revealing the complex political dynamics at play.
