On Tuesday, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inaugurated a fleet of 40 electric buses, taking a stand against the AAP government's alleged inefficacy in tackling pollution in the city. Gupta, addressing the crowd at Azadpur Terminal, underscored that the government's capabilities are fueled by the mandate of the voters.
Gupta highlighted that Delhi had long struggled with numerous unresolved problems, accusing the previous administration of relying heavily on advertising rather than delivering results. She contrasted her government's efforts, stating they had introduced 1,400 electric buses in eight months, while the prior regime provided only 2,000 buses over 11 years.
The Chief Minister lamented the lack of environmental initiatives like the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' tree-planting campaign under the former government and praised the ongoing development projects, asserting that her administration works tirelessly. Gupta questioned the visibility and commitment of the previous government's ministers, reminding citizens of her proactive approach.
