Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to lay the foundation for the Kaziranga elevated corridor project, a significant initiative aimed at ensuring wildlife safety and fostering ecotourism in the area. The project, valued at Rs 6,957-crore, promises to curtail accidents on National Highway-37.

The project encompasses the four-laning of a highway section from Kaliabor to Numaligarh and includes approximately 34.45 km of an elevated corridor.
