The Rare Earth and Titanium Technology Park (RETTP) will play a significant role in promoting indigenous technologies, making the 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' campaign a success and supporting new entrepreneurs, Atomic Energy Commission (AEC) chairman Dr Ajit Kumar Mohanty said here on Sunday. Mohanty, also Secretary of the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), was speaking after inaugurating the Rare Earths and Titanium Technology Park, which aims to demonstrate technologies developed in the laboratory by the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) on a large scale (pilot scale). This will facilitate the adoption of these technologies by new entrepreneurs and industries, a release said, adding the park will serve as an important medium to bridge the gap between research and business. ''The RETTP will play a significant role in promoting indigenous technologies, making the Atmanirbhar Bharat campaign a success, and supporting new entrepreneurs,'' Mohanty said. The release said the centre will demonstrate new technologies in the field of rare earths and titanium and serve as a training facility for industries. The launch of RETTP will strengthen the supply chain of essential goods in the country and boost India's industrial strength, it added.
