His retirement follows fellow scrumhalf Ben Youngs.
Danny Care, the talented scrumhalf who has represented England 101 times and made 394 appearances for Harlequins, is set to retire at the end of the current season, Harlequins announced on Tuesday.
Care, 38, plans to step away from professional rugby a year earlier than expected, having last played at the international level in the 2024 Six Nations. "So, it's finally time," Care shared on the club's website. "After 19 amazing years, I'm bidding farewell to this incredible club."
Throughout his career, Care not only helped Harlequins to notable victories, including the 2011 European Challenge Cup and the 2012 Premiership title, but was also pivotal in England's Six Nations campaigns. As he transitions towards a media career, England coach Steve Borthwick praised Care's impact and legacy in the sport.
