The Pro Wrestling League (PWL) is set to make a grand return on January 15, following a pandemic-induced pause. Matches will unfold at the Noida Indoor Stadium, as confirmed by the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) on Saturday.
Initially, Delhi was slated as the sole location for the league's resurgence, halted after four seasons due to COVID-19. The shift to Noida marks a significant moment in the League's history.
According to WFI President Sanjay Singh, more than 300 wrestlers from over 20 nations, including Olympic and World Championship medalists, are registered for the auction. Each team, consisting of six in total, will feature nine athletes, balancing five Indian and four foreign players, with a focus on gender inclusivity by including four women per team.
