The Delhi government is taking decisive action to transform its industrial training institutes (ITIs) by integrating high-tech laboratories. The initiative, aimed at training youth in power electronics, electric vehicles, and the automotive sector, was announced by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta.

The state-of-the-art labs are designed to enhance technical skills and expose trainees to genuine industrial operations, thus fostering both job opportunities and entrepreneurial ventures. Gupta emphasized that this move aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Skill India program and supports a technologically adept youth, propelling economic advancement and self-reliance.

Strategic upgrades include the establishment of a power electronics lab at ITI Jahangirpuri, improvements to the existing welder lab at ITI Jail Road, and the enhancement of automotive labs at ITI Arab Ki Sarai. Additionally, a dedicated Electric Vehicle lab at HJB ITI, Mayur Vihar, will advance training in green mobility and next-gen automotive tech.
