West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has received approval for her upcoming visit to London, where she is set to deliver a lecture at the University of Oxford later this month. The state secretariat shared that Banerjee will embark on her journey on March 21, making a stopover in Dubai.
Invited by Pro Vice Chancellor Jonathan Michie during his visit to Kolkata for the Bengal Global Business Summit, Banerjee's lecture is scheduled for March 27. This trip marks her return to the UK after six years since her previous engagement in Edinburgh for a business meeting.
Banerjee's recent travels have focused on attracting international investments for West Bengal, with her previous September trip to Spain and participation in a Dubai business conference highlighting her economic agenda. She is expected to return to India on March 29.
