Milind College in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar stands as Marathwada's first degree college and a repository of Dr. B R Ambedkar's personal artefacts and books, offering inspiration to students.
Established by Dr. Ambedkar's Peoples Education Society on June 21, 1950, the institution provided a local higher education option, eliminating the need for students to travel to Hyderabad. Dr. Ambedkar personally oversaw the college's development, reviewing construction personally whenever possible.
The college honors Dr. Ambedkar's legacy by preserving his belongings in a museum within its dome, which was inaugurated in 2013-2014, including his stick, chair, and over 1,000 reference books. These artefacts continue to inspire students, channeling Ambedkar's vision for a caste-free India.
