Jharkhand Minister and Congress leader Banna Gupta refused to speculate on Monday about former Chief Minister Champai Soren potentially joining another party, citing the issue as an internal matter of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM).
'This is an internal matter of JMM, the INDIA alliance has nothing to say on this,' Gupta stated. He emphasized confidence in current Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, describing him as a capable leader who understands the intricacies of politics and runs the government effectively.
Earlier, Champai Soren expressed bitterness over his treatment within the JMM during his term as Chief Minister, saying he felt 'insulted' and was considering 'all options' for his political future ahead of the Jharkhand Assembly polls. Soren cited specific instances of being sidelined, including having his programs canceled by party leadership.
In response to Soren's social media post accusing the JMM of humiliation, BJP leader Pratul Shah Deo called it a 'saddest state of affairs' and criticized the party's treatment of Soren. JMM leader Manoj Pandey expressed skepticism about Soren leaving for the BJP, but acknowledged that such a move could be detrimental to Soren.
