The Regional Meteorological Centre in Shimla has issued orange and yellow alerts for parts of Himachal Pradesh, forecasting heavy to very heavy rainfall on June 25. An orange alert covers the districts of Sirmaur, Una, Bilaspur, Mandi, Hamirpur, Kangra, and Chamba, warning of the possibility of intense downpours.
A yellow alert has been announced for Solan, Shimla, and Kullu districts, urging residents and tourists to stay vigilant. On Tuesday, intermittent showers were recorded across several districts, lowering temperatures and bringing a pleasant climate, much to the delight of tourists.
The rain has drawn enthusiastic reactions from visitors escaping sweltering temperatures from regions like Haryana, Chandigarh, Punjab, and Delhi. While the downpour has disrupted some activities, the refreshing weather and mist-covered landscapes have charmed tourists. Local businesses report increased footfall despite disruptions, as authorities caution against slippery roads and foggy conditions.
