In a significant development in the dispute over the estate of late industrialist Sunjay Kapur, the Delhi High Court has issued an interim injunction to maintain the status quo and prevent the creation of third-party rights over the assets. This order comes amid an ongoing legal battle involving Kapur's family and estimated estate worth Rs 30,000 crore.

Mandhira Kapur, the sister of Sunjay Kapur, expressed satisfaction with the court ruling, highlighting its importance for protecting her family's rights. She emphasized that the assets belong to their mother and stressed the need for asset preservation during the legal proceedings.

The court directed the filing of account statements and restrained operations of foreign bank accounts and cryptocurrency holdings. It asserted that the burden lies on Priya Kapur, a key defendant, to address 'suspicious circumstances' surrounding the estate, as well as ensure the trial's integrity by answering all legitimate concerns.
