The plea was against the Bombay High Court's 2022 ruling that dismissed charges, which were initially based on Delkar's suicide note alleging harassment by prominent figures.

During proceedings, the bench detailed Delkar's mental state and possible harassment, with discussions pivoting on whether the suicide note supported charges of abetment. The lawyers involved were asked to file written submissions, with a deadline set for August 8.
