According to a statement from U.S. Army Europe, the 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team of the 101st Airborne Division will return to its home unit in Kentucky as planned, without being replaced by new troops.

This decision, the statement emphasized, should not be interpreted as a reduction in commitment to NATO or a diminishment of U.S. interests in maintaining security across Europe.
