A Delhi court on Thursday reserved its decision regarding the transit anticipatory bail plea of Saurabh and Gaurav Luthra. The brothers, owners of a nightclub in Goa where a fire tragedy occurred, are seeking temporary bail to avoid arrest upon their return from Thailand.
The Luthras requested four weeks of transit anticipatory bail, stating their intention to join the investigation without delay. Their counsel emphasized their willingness to cooperate with authorities and argued that they should not be preemptively punished.
However, opposing counsel from Goa argued that the Luthras have been evading legal processes after the fire incident. The state contended that anticipatory bail is discretionary and should not be granted to individuals evading legal proceedings.
