On Saturday, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha of Jammu and Kashmir expressed regret over past systemic failures in addressing the plight of terrorism victims. He acknowledged that previous administrations overlooked their suffering, but affirmed that current efforts are focused on empowering these individuals.

Sinha made these remarks during a ceremony where he distributed appointment letters to 39 next of kin (NOKs) of terror victims in the Kashmir valley. The event marked a significant step towards justice and rehabilitation for the impacted families.

The Lieutenant Governor emphasized that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah's leadership, the region maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism, with plans to use every resource to make Jammu and Kashmir terror-free.
