The administration in Jammu and Kashmir is taking decisive steps to address the myriad concerns of the migrant population, according to Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo. He encouraged migrant youth to leverage self-employment initiatives supported by the government.
During his visit to the mini-township of Jagti, Dulloo not only inspected ongoing development projects but also inaugurated significant ones. In a brief ceremony, he handed out sanction orders to approximately 125 beneficiaries under schemes such as Old Age Pension and Disability Pension.
Dulloo emphasized ensuring that social sector benefits reach Kashmiri and Jammu migrants who were previously excluded due to non-digitized records. He urged all migrants to integrate their ration cards into the national database to access government schemes more efficiently.
