London Men Charged in Hezbollah Terrorism Case
Two London men have been charged with terrorism offenses related to the Iran-backed Hezbollah group. They are accused of attending terrorist training camps in Lebanon. In a significant development, British police announced that two men have been charged with terrorism offenses associated with the Iran-backed Hezbollah group. Arrested at their London residences, these individuals stand accused of attending terrorism training camps in Lebanon.
Commander Dominic Murphy of London's Counter Terrorism Policing stated that detectives had conducted an exhaustive investigation, collaborating with international law enforcement agencies. He reassured the public that there is no imminent threat from the actions of these suspects.
Annis Makki, 40, is facing charges including attending a terrorist training camp in 2021 and expressing support for Hezbollah and Hamas. Similarly, Mohamed Hadi, 33, has been accused of being part of Hezbollah and attending camps as early as 2015. Both men will appear in Westminster Magistrates' court.
