In a significant breakthrough, Punjab Police have dismantled an illegal cross-border arms module connected to Pakistan-based smugglers, as confirmed on Wednesday.
Amritsar Commissionerate Police seized six sophisticated pistols and two cartridges, apprehending two suspects accused of illegally trafficking arms and supplying them to gangsters, following directions from foreign handlers.
The accused, Gurpreet Singh alias Gopi and Surjit Singh, were known to have utilized social media to coordinate with smugglers. Investigations are ongoing to further explore network connections.
