Che Dalha, the former head of the Tibetan government, has been sentenced to life in prison for corruption, as reported by China's Xinhua News Agency.
A court in Chongqing found Dalha, aged 67, guilty of amassing over 158 million yuan through illicit means from 1999 to 2025, while serving in key positions in Tibet, Yunnan, and Beijing.
The former official admitted guilt, with the court stripping him of political rights and seizing his assets, as Beijing reinforces its control over Tibet amidst ongoing international criticism.
