In a blistering critique, Congress leader V D Satheesan took aim at Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan's remarks on Sanatana Dharma, describing them as misguided attempts to align it with the Sangh Parivar.
During the Sivagiri pilgrimage conference, Vijayan warned against efforts to mischaracterize Sree Narayana Guru as an advocate of Sanatana Dharma, a claim Satheesan vehemently opposed, asserting that the Dharma extends beyond caste restrictions.
