Minister of State for Home Affairs, Jawahar Singh Bedham, stated on Thursday that there is no necessity for Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma to address the phone-tapping controversy in the state assembly, as Agriculture Minister Kirodi Lal Meena has refuted claims of his phone being tapped.

The opposition party, Congress, has been vocally demanding a response from the Chief Minister in the assembly. According to Bedham, tapping phone calls is a habit of Congress, not the BJP, which avoids such practices with MLAs or ministers.

While Meena has publicly reiterated that his phone was not tapped, Congress leader Ashok Gehlot, with prior similar allegations, pushes for Sharma to address the assembly. Additionally, Meena, facing a show-cause notice from the state BJP for his remarks affecting the government's reputation, has responded but remains discreet about the details.
