Modi Accuses Congress of Neglecting Tribal Regions for Political Gains

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a blistering critique against the Congress on Friday, alleging that the party has intentionally kept tribal communities underdeveloped for political benefits, branding the regions as the 'red corridor.'

Speaking at a public meeting to commemorate the first anniversary of the BJP-led government in Odisha, Modi hailed their achievements, including reopening the four gates of the Puri Jagannath temple and its treasury, fulfilling longstanding public demands. He accused the Congress of historical neglect towards tribal areas, claiming that over 125 tribal-dominated districts, affected by Maoists, were labeled as the 'red corridor' during previous regimes.

Highlighting the BJP's commitment to governance and public service, Modi praised the current state government's efforts to address corruption and infrastructure deficits. He marked the ruling party's first anniversary as a milestone in enhancing public trust and development in Odisha.
