An air ambulance is en route to Dhaka, tasked with transporting former Bangladesh Prime Minister Khaleda Zia to London for medical care. Aviation officials assure the aircraft, coordinated by the Qatar government, will land on Tuesday, despite prior delays due to technical issues and Zia's health status.
FAI Aviation Group, a Germany-based company, has provided the air ambulance. Initially planned to depart earlier, the mission encountered setbacks. The BNP clarified that technical glitches led to delays, while Zia's fragile condition imposed further postponements for the long-distance journey.
Khaleda Zia, aged 80 and leader of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party, is currently under medical care at Evercare Hospital with multiple ailments. The air ambulance, a Bombardier Challenger equipped for intensive care, symbolizes hope as it awaits clearance for the critical evacuation flight to London.
