In a move to mend relations after controversial remarks by Harak Singh Rawat, Congress leader Harish Rawat took part in ceremonial activities at a gurdwara in Aadhat Bazaar. His actions were aimed at atoning for the perceived offense to the Sikh community.
Harish Rawat engaged in both 'langar seva' and 'shoe seva', demonstrating his sincerity in bridging gaps caused by the incident. His visit included reciting Gurbani, which he described as a purification process for their mistake.
The remarks in question were made by Harak Singh Rawat during a protest in Dehradun, which sparked displeasure among local Sikhs. To further pacify tensions, Harak Singh also performed 'kar seva' at Paonta Sahib Gurdwara, seeking forgiveness from the Sikh community.
