In a direct challenge to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi accused him of evading discussion on his press conferences about 'vote chori' during a parliamentary debate on election reforms.
Following a heated exchange with Shah in the Lok Sabha, Gandhi claimed that the home minister appeared 'under pressure' and offered a 'defensive' response that failed to tackle fundamental issues including transparent voter lists, electronic voting machines, and immunity for the chief election commissioner.
The confrontation led to a walkout by opposition MPs, with Gandhi later reiterating in a social media post that the home minister seemed 'panicked' and defensive in addressing the allegations of electoral misconduct.
