In a recent development, Asaduddin Owaisi, chief of the AIMIM and Hyderabad MP, has raised allegations of attempts to disrupt communal harmony in Hyderabad. He claims that certain factions associated with the 'Sangh Parivar' are orchestrating tensions through nighttime incidents over inconsequential matters, potentially igniting communal controversy.
Owaisi has expressed concerns regarding local policing, particularly questioning the efficacy of the city's extensive surveillance infrastructure. 'My concern is what the local police are doing over there?' he stated. Despite Hyderabad's advanced CCTV facial recognition technology, these incidents persist, especially in historically sensitive localities.
The AIMIM chief has called on local authorities to act decisively while urging Hyderabad's populace to maintain peace, ensuring the city's progress. His appeal follows recent vandalism at the Puranapul temple, where a protest saw injuries among civilians and police personnel.
