Escalating Tensions: Ukraine and Russia Exchange Devastating Strikes

The capital of Ukraine, Kyiv, faced missile attacks by Russian forces, while various regions suffered bombardments resulting in multiple casualties. Concurrently, Russian-occupied areas experienced Ukrainian drone strikes, leading to deaths and injuries. Both nations continue to exchange accusations of targeting civilians amid ongoing conflict.

The Ukrainian capital of Kyiv was targeted by ballistic missiles from Russian forces early Sunday, local officials reported. Other regions were hit later, resulting in the deaths of at least six individuals.

In a simultaneous development, Russian-controlled territories witnessed attacks. A Ukrainian drone strike in Horlivka resulted in four fatalities, according to Russia. Ukraine's air force indicated that Russia had launched seven ballistic missiles and 136 drones during the overnight offensive.

President Volodymyr Zelenskiy condemned the attacks, calling them unjustified acts of terror. Chernihiv and Kharkiv saw casualties and injuries due to drone strikes, while bombings in Zaporizhzhia added to the toll in a conflict deeply affecting civilians.
