Ferry Disaster Near Bali: Search Continues for Missing Passengers
Rescuers are searching for 43 missing after a ferry sank near Bali. The vessel, bound for Bali from East Java, carried 65 people and 22 vehicles. So far, two bodies have been found and 20 individuals rescued. Indonesian ferry accidents are frequent due to relaxed safety regulations.

Rescue efforts are underway as authorities search for more than 40 people missing after a ferry sunk near Indonesia's popular resort destination, Bali.
The KMP Tunu Pratama Jaya, which departed from East Java's Ketapang port, sank within 30 minutes of its journey late Wednesday. The ferry was traveling to Bali's Gilimanuk port.
While 20 individuals have been successfully rescued, the search operation, contending with 2-meter high waves, continues for the remaining passengers amidst Indonesia's troubling ferry safety record.
