Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the South India Natural Farming Summit on November 19, marking a significant step towards promoting sustainable agriculture. The summit aims to unite farmers, researchers, and innovators in the push for eco-friendly farming practices.
On this occasion, Modi will release over Rs 18,000 crore in funds through the PM-KISAN scheme, benefiting nine crore farmers. Each farmer will receive Rs 6,000 annually, credited in three instalments directly to their bank accounts.
The summit focuses on creating market linkages and showcasing innovations in organic farming and agro-processing. Attendees will include over 50,000 participants from various South Indian states, highlighting the importance of regenerative farming strategies for India's agricultural future.
