Army Chief Challenges Pakistan: 'Decide Your Place in Geography or History'

In a direct message to Pakistan regarding its support for cross-border terrorism, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi highlighted the strategic Operation Sindoor, carried out in response to the Pahalgam terror attack. At a recent Sena Samvad event, Gen Dwivedi cautioned that Pakistan must decide whether it wants to remain part of geography or become history due to its terror-related activities.
The Army Chief acknowledged the strengths of the tech-savvy younger generation, emphasizing the military's efforts to harness their potential. An internship program initiated by the Army has attracted over one lakh applications for just 100 positions, indicating the high interest among youth. Gen Dwivedi lauded the adaptability and digital fluency of today's generation, setting 2026-27 as a milestone year for networking and data-centricity within the military.
Discussing rapid technological changes and their impact on military modernization, Gen Dwivedi addressed self-actualization and the importance of a whole-of-nation approach. He stressed the need for strategic guidance to integrate India's diverse capabilities in warfare and highlighted how technological advancements necessitate ongoing adaptation across military ranks.
