Union Minister Ramdas Athawale asserted on Monday that India's democracy remains secure under the Constitution authored by Baba Saheb Ambedkar. He dispelled fears of potential anarchy akin to situations seen in Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Bangladesh.
Speaking in the Rajya Sabha, Athawale emphasized the stability of democracy and the need to convey this assurance to Opposition members. He reiterated that no anarchy could arise in India as long as the existing Constitution is in place.
Athawale, commenting on governance, highlighted the necessity of abiding by constitutional laws. He expressed hope that under the leadership of Chairman C P Radhakrishnan, the Upper House would function without interruption. Athawale's term is set to end in April next year, yet he aspires to return.
