Turkey's Foreign Minister, Hakan Fidan, reiterated the country's preference for dialogue over military action against Syria's Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). In a statement from an interview on Thursday, he highlighted Turkey's growing impatience with SDF's delays in fulfilling a key integration agreement.
Fidan stressed that while Turkey hopes to avoid military intervention, the SDF must understand that patience among the involved actors is rapidly waning. He implied that compliance with the March 10 agreement was critical to maintaining peace.
Fidan called on the SDF to adhere to their commitments promptly and without deviation, warning that further delays could have significant consequences. He emphasized the need for honoring the deal to avoid escalating tensions.
