Telangana CM Urges Action on Defence Land and Sainik Schools

On Thursday, Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy called on Army officials to appoint special officers to resolve outstanding issues, particularly concerning land allotment and Sainik Schools through deliberations.
During the 'Civil Military Liaison Conference,' discussions were held on defence land allotments and pending administrative matters between the Telangana government and the Indian Army. Key participants included Telangana Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao, Major General Ajay Mishra, and DGP Shivadhar Reddy.
Revanth Reddy highlighted Telangana's disadvantaged position in Sainik School sanctions over the past decade and requested the Army to prioritize the state's demands, including relocating the Southern Command Center to Hyderabad. The government has offered 3,000 acres for a Navy radar station, emphasizing collaboration for national security.
