Political Tensions Rise Over Mysuru Urban Development Authority Allotment Scandal

The 'Mysuru Chalo' padayatre continued for the second consecutive day, aimed at spotlighting the alleged Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) site allotment scam. Protesters demanded the resignation of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, implicating him and his wife Parvathi in the scandal.
The march commenced at Bidadi, targeting a 22 km stretch to Kengal. Leading figures included BJP State President B Y Vijayendra and JD(S) State President H D Kumaraswamy. Additionally, several legislators and party workers participated, chanting slogans and holding party flags against the Congress government.
Launched from Kengeri, the march covered 16 km on its first day. The controversy revolves around compensatory MUDA plots allocated to Siddaramaiah's wife Parvathi. Allegations suggest significant value discrepancies amounting to Rs 4,000-5,000 crore under a controversial 50:50 land allotment scheme.
