Maharashtra Congress President Harshwardhan Sapkal has leveled strong accusations against the ruling BJP, claiming the party is attempting to become 'Congress-yukt' by enticing Congress leaders to their side.
Sapkal's comments were prompted by former MLA Kailash Gorantyal's resignation from the Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee, as he might join the BJP. Criticizing the BJP for using tactics of intimidation and allurements, Sapkal argued that these actions indicate a leadership crisis within the ruling party.
Sapkal further alleged financial mismanagement, claiming involvement in multi-crore scams related to major infrastructure projects. He criticized the government for its failure to support farmers and described the new public security bill as a threat to democracy.
