Kim Yo Jong, sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, declared that North Korea will steadfastly uphold its nuclear-armed status. This firm stance underscores the nation's unwillingness to compromise in face of external pressures, as reported by Yonhap News Agency on Sunday.
Amidst this backdrop, Chinese President Xi Jinping is slated to visit North Korea on Monday. This visit marks his first trip to Pyongyang in nearly seven years, with the aim of solidifying the diplomatic relationship between China and its only formal treaty ally.
During his visit, President Xi is expected to engage in discussions with Kim Jong Un. China's foreign ministry stated that the leaders will focus on enhancing bilateral relations and addressing issues of mutual interest, emphasizing the importance of their geopolitical alliance.
