Spain's World Cup campaign gets a boost as key players Lamine Yamal and Nico Williams resume training. Their recovery alleviates concerns over their participation in the opener against Cape Verde. Spain's prospects in the upcoming FIFA World Cup have been significantly bolstered with the return of Lamine Yamal and Nico Williams to full training. The duo, crucial components of Spain's attacking line-up, had been doubtful for the opening match against Cape Verde on June 15. However, their active presence at the team’s base in Tennessee has rekindled hopes that they will be match-ready from the start of the tournament.

Both players, along with Victor Munoz, were absent from Spain's final warm-up against Peru due to injuries, training separately at the Chattanooga base. Concerns were particularly high for Barcelona's rising star Yamal, who hadn't played since April 22 because of a hamstring injury. Despite fears of missing the group stages entirely, Yamal now appears set to make a limited appearance, which could offer a significant morale boost for fans and the team, according to coach Luis de la Fuente.

The training session was marked by a celebratory mood, as teammates welcomed Yamal and Williams back by having them run the gauntlet. Unai Simon’s birthday added to the upbeat atmosphere. Following their clash with Cape Verde, Spain will meet Saudi Arabia in Atlanta on June 21 and Uruguay in Guadalajara, Mexico, on June 26, as they aim for their second World Cup triumph after last winning in 2010. The team, riding high on a recent Euro Championship win, is set for an exciting campaign.
