The Controversial Connection: Elon Musk's Technologist and the Cybercrime Gang
Edward Coristine, a known member of Elon Musk's U.S. DOGE Service team, previously supported a cybercrime gang called EGodly. This group engaged in criminal activity like data theft and harassment of an FBI agent. Despite this past, Coristine currently holds a significant position in U.S. government cybersecurity networks.
An investigation by Reuters has uncovered that Edward Coristine, a prominent member of Elon Musk's U.S. DOGE Service team, once aided a cybercrime gang known as EGodly. The group has been linked to activities such as data trafficking and the harassment of an FBI agent.
Evidently, Coristine's connection to the gang was through his company, DiamondCDN, which provided network services to EGodly. Digital records show that the group appreciated Coristine's assistance, expressing gratitude for DiamondCDN's DDoS protection and caching system in a Telegram post.
Nitin Natarajan, former deputy director of CISA, expressed concern over Coristine's past links to EGodly, pointing out the recent nature of these activities in relation to Coristine's current role with extensive access to government networks.
