A family of five, including three children, lost their lives as the roof of their house collapsed amid a thunderstorm in northwest Pakistan late Friday night, police reported.
The tragic incident occurred in Turangzai village, Charsadda district, where a couple and their three children were killed as severe weather battered the region.
Locals and rescue authorities managed to retrieve the bodies from the debris and transported them to a hospital for postmortem examinations. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister KPK Ali Amin Gandapur expressed profound grief over the fatalities and announced cash compensation for the grieving family.
