Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut on Thursday highlighted that the primary objective of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) is to remove the 'corrupt' Mahayuti-led administration in Maharashtra before discussing their chief ministerial candidate for the upcoming state assembly elections.
Raut's statement came a day after NCP (SP) president Sharad Pawar remarked there was no urgency to announce a CM candidate, suggesting the decision could be contingent on post-election results and seat counts.
In agreement, Raut acknowledged, 'Pawar saheb is 100 percent right.' He indicated that his party has softened its earlier position on the CM post, emphasizing the immediate goal of dethroning the current government before deliberating on leadership roles within the alliance.
