In recent escalations of violence in Balochistan, armed insurgents attacked a bus, killing six people and abducting three more in Gwadar district. Additional terror incidents include a bomb explosion in Quetta that resulted in multiple casualties. These attacks come amid increased tensions following recent militant activities in the region.
The bus assault took place late Wednesday when gunmen stopped a Karachi-bound bus on the Ormara Highway. After checking passengers' ID cards, they executed six individuals, predominantly from the Punjab province. No group has claimed responsibility, although ethnic Baloch terrorists are suspected.
Balochistan officials, including President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, have condemned the violence, pledging unwavering efforts to apprehend the perpetrators. The attacks coincide with broader tensions linked to the hijacking of the Jaffar Express and ongoing insurgent threats in the mineral-rich province.
